1. Who we are#
ManyaIT Inc., of 8668 John Hickman Pkwy #903, Frisco, Texas 75034, runs this website and decides how the personal data collected through it is used. Our Indian company, ManyaIT Solutions Pvt Ltd, of Bizness Square, Whitefields, HITECH City, Hyderabad, Telangana 500081, works with that data alongside us for our team in India. In this notice, “ManyaIT”, “we” and “us” mean both companies.
Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, ManyaIT is the Data Fiduciary for the data described here. Under the EU and UK GDPR, it is the controller.
2. Scope of this notice#
This notice covers:
- people who visit this website;
- business contacts who write to us through the contact form, by email or by phone;
- people who ask to receive marketing email from us; and
- people who make a privacy request.
If you join our Talent Network or apply for a role, our Applicant Privacy Notice explains how we handle that information instead.
When our teams work on systems or data that belong to our clients, the client decides how that data is used, and our contract with them governs it. This notice does not cover that data. If you are a client’s customer or employee, contact the client first.
3. What we collect and why#
We collect only what we need for each purpose below, and keep it only as long as the table says.
| Where it comes from | What we collect | Why we use it | Legal basis (EU and UK) | How long we keep it |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| The contact form | Your name, business email, company, job title, the options you choose and your message | To reply, understand what you need and arrange a call | Legitimate interests in answering business enquiries; steps you ask for before a contract | 2 years after our last contact, unless we start working together |
| The marketing box on the contact form | Your email address and when you ticked the box | To send occasional ManyaIT news and insights | Consent | Until you unsubscribe. After that we keep your address only on a list that stops us emailing you again |
| Email, calls and meetings | What you send us, and notes of what we discussed | To reply and keep a record of our business dealings | Legitimate interests; performing a contract | As for the contact form, or longer where the law requires business records |
| The privacy request form | Your name, email, region, request details, and an agent’s details if one acts for you | To check who you are, answer your request and show that we did | Legal obligation | 24 months after we close the request |
| Visits to this site | IP address, browser and device type, pages requested, time of the request and the page you came from | To deliver pages, keep the site secure and fix faults | Legitimate interests in running a secure website | As long as our host keeps its security logs |
We don’t ask for sensitive information such as health, financial or government ID details through this site. Please don’t send it in a message.
We don’t use automated decision-making or profiling that has legal or similarly significant effects on you.
4. Who we share it with#
We share personal data only with:
- Service providers who work for us under contract and only on our instructions: our website host (Cloudflare), and the email, customer-relationship and form tools we use to receive and answer messages. Each one sees only what it needs to do its job.
- The two ManyaIT companies, so the right person in the United States or India can reply.
- Professional advisers such as lawyers, auditors and insurers, under a duty of confidentiality.
- Authorities, when the law requires it or to protect the rights, property or safety of ManyaIT, our people or others.
- A buyer or successor, if ManyaIT is reorganised, merged or sold. They must protect your data as this notice describes.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for targeted advertising.
5. International transfers#
ManyaIT works from the United States and India, and our service providers may handle data in other countries. When data about people in the EU or UK leaves those regions, we protect it with the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses, the UK’s International Data Transfer Addendum, or another safeguard the law allows. You can ask us for a copy of the safeguard that applies.
6. How long we keep it#
We keep each kind of data for the period in the table above, then delete it or make it anonymous. We keep it longer only when the law requires it, or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
7. How we protect it#
Every page of this site is served over an encrypted connection. Access to personal data is limited to the people who need it for the purposes above. Our service providers are bound by contract to keep it secure and confidential, and we review our safeguards when our tools change.
No system is perfectly secure. If a breach puts your data at risk, we will tell you and the relevant regulators as the law requires.
8. Your rights#
Wherever you live, you can ask us to:
- tell you whether we hold data about you, and give you a copy;
- correct or complete it;
- delete it; and
- stop sending you marketing email.
The laws below give some people further rights, and set the time we have to answer.
If you are in India
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 and the Information Technology Act 2000 and its rules, you can:
- get a summary of the personal data we process about you, what we do with it, and who we have shared it with;
- have it corrected, completed, updated or erased;
- withdraw your consent at any time, as easily as you gave it, where we rely on consent;
- nominate someone to use these rights for you if you die or become unable to; and
- have your grievance answered by our Grievance Officer, who resolves grievances within one month of receiving them.
If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
If you are in the United States
We do not sell personal data, use it for targeted advertising, or use it for profiling that has legal or similarly significant effects. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of all three.
Texas. Under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, Texas residents can confirm whether we process their data and access it, correct it, delete it, get a portable copy, and opt out of sale, targeted advertising and profiling. We answer within 45 days, and may extend that once by another 45 days if we tell you why. If we decline your request, you can appeal by choosing “Appeal a previous decision” on our privacy request form. We answer appeals within 60 days. If we deny your appeal, you can complain to the Texas Attorney General at texasattorneygeneral.gov.
The Texas law does not cover people acting in a business or employment context. We honour these rights for business contacts too.
Other states. If you live in another state with a privacy law that applies to us, including California if its thresholds are met, you have the rights that law gives, and you can use them the same way.
If you are in the EU or the UK
Under the GDPR, you can access your data, have it corrected or erased, restrict how we use it, get a portable copy, and object to how we use it, including an absolute right to object to direct marketing. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. We answer within one month, and may extend that by two further months for complex requests if we tell you why.
You can complain to the data protection authority where you live or work, or, in the UK, to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
9. How to use your rights#
Use our privacy request form, or email info@manyait.com. We acknowledge every request within 72 hours and give you a reference number.
We will ask you to confirm your identity, usually by replying from the email address we hold, and we never ask for more than we need to check. Someone you authorise can make a request for you; we will ask for your signed permission and may confirm it with you directly. Using your rights is free, unless a request is clearly unfounded or excessive.
10. Marketing emails#
We send marketing email only to people who ask for it by ticking the unticked box on our contact form. We email no more than once a month. Every email has a working unsubscribe link and our postal address, and we act on an unsubscribe within 10 business days. Unsubscribing does not affect replies to a conversation you started.
11. Cookies#
This site sets no analytics, advertising or other optional cookies, and it loads nothing from other companies’ servers. Our Cookie Notice explains what that means and what would change if we ever added them.
12. Children#
This site is meant for businesses and working professionals. We don’t knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us their data, contact us and we will delete it.
13. Changes to this notice#
When we change this notice, we update the date and version at the top and add a line to the change log at the end. If a change affects how we use data we already hold, we will tell the people affected before it applies.
